CALLIOPE EPIC is based in Chicago, IL. We specialize in providing creative designs to clients in entertainment industries and work with professionals all over the country. Although entertainment and music are our primary areas of expertise, we also work with businesses outside of entertainment that are looking for less conservative designs than their competitors. CATHY is an experienced Marketing professional, as well as a music columnist previously with Midwest Beat Magazine where she wrote the “Five Fearless Minutes With…” column. She has also conducted interviews as a guest on both mainstream and internet radio, and worked as an independent contractor booking artists to play Chicago area venues. With her bachelor's degree, Cathy also has significant experience in business development and media planning and a background in event consulting. Her goal for Calliope Epic is to assist entertainment professionals in getting the creative designs and marketing products they need at a reasonable cost and highest quality so artists can put their resources toward growing their fan base.
JOHN is a graphic designer who has spent his career creating graphics, website designs, and ads for both Chicago-based and Seattle-area companies; as well as logos, posters, web banners, and merchandise designs for bands, voiceover artists, and video game companies. His work has appeared in major print publications as well as on mainstream radio websites, and several gaming sites. He is experienced in most design software including Photoshop CS5, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and After Effects. In addition to designing, he has co-hosted the internet radio broadcasts Play or Die and Shots in the Dark and contributed articles to Newsarama.com.
PATTI has worked as a professional photographer in the Chicago area since 2002. She has worked with both Independent and Major label musicians as well as models and DJs and her photographs have appeared in SPIN and Relix magazines, as well as other major print publications, Metromix online and several band websites and publicity materials. She has also been on set at music video productions shooting stills in Los Angeles and Chicago. In addition to specializing in concert, portrait and promotional photography, Patti also photographs special events, music festivals and other lifestyle moments. She uses Canon cameras and lenses.
ROCCO is an award-winning filmmaker who has worked professionally in the industry for ten years. With a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago Rocco began working professionally on both Hollywood and independent films long before graduation. To date, Rocco has served both as Director and Producer on an array of commercial music videos that premiered on BET as well as longer-format music projects. He also served as Unit Manager for Fox Television’s My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss, garnered media exposure on local Chicago’s Fox Thing in the Morning, and recently saw a short film he produced accepted into the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. Rocco also co-hosted the New Music Binge program on Fearless Radio for 5 years.
MIKE produced his first feature film within six months of graduating from Columbia College Chicago. Since that time he has been afforded the opportunity to enjoy a career as a freelancer shooting, producing and directing projects for film, television, commercial, music video, internet and corporate entities including Mercedes Benz PGA Championship, the Masters Tournament, Modern Luxury and many more. Michael has also worked with NBC news, Fox and BET networks, and on music projects involving R. Kelly, Cowboy Mouth, Umphrey's McGee, Jen Porter, and Raised on Zenith among others. In 2000 Michael created the Midwest Independent Film Festival which to this date continues to fill Chicago theaters with enthusiastic movie-goers the first Tuesday of every month.
